If you’re getting into friends dating, chances are you already know a lot about one another’s day-to-day lives, but how much do you know about their lives in the bedroom? I’m going to guess not a lot unless you’ve been playing the friends with benefits card.

Everyone has their individual preferences when it comes to what they like in the bedroom, so to get their specific wants and needs done properly, it’s going to take some time. But there’s good news– there’s a laundry list of things all men wish women knew, because they’re things that all women enjoy. Take some tips from this list and you won’t have any problems making the transition from him seeing you as ‘just a friend’ to ‘this girl can really rock my world.’

1. Guys love it when you bite gently on their ear lobes. Sure it feels good for you, but males have more nerve endings in their ears, so that sweet sensation you get when he’s kissing around there, men get it amplified.
2. If beer is your drink of choice, have a little fun with the neck of the bottle! Imagery is a big part of the sexual experience for men, so the sexier your mouth goes over the bottle opening, the more riled up he’s going to be to take you home.
3. When you’re in a public place and sharing an innocent hug, the smallest press of your hips to his will drive him wild.
4. Thinking about him naked? Let him know!! Sending him a text with a sexy message or steamy picture will have you on his mind until he gets to you.
5. Guys love thinking about women in Yoga. The thought of them bending in different positions is enough foreplay to last them a week. If you simply wear the right Lulu gear, his mind will already be on your prize from the second you walk in the room. And it comes with a bonus, because yoga wear is super comfortable. Being sexy and comfortable? Win/win.
6. Touch a guy softly with your fingertips. All women have tried the old if-I-touch-his-arm-he’ll-get-my-hint hint, but if you very gently run your fingers up and down his arms, you’ll hit all the right trigers to get him hot and bothered without even having to bat your eyes.

If you’re about to start dating a friend, you have to make it clear what your intentions are. Skip the subtleness of playing coy and go for it! His response to any of these things will give you a much better outcome than waiting for him to make a move.

Let’s face it- even though the economy is bouncing back, people are still pinching their pennies attempting to get back on their feet financially. When you’re wallet is tighter than Kim Kardashian’s pants, how can you even attempt to romantically woo someone?

Well you have something going for you: It’s summer, which means it’s the time of the year where everyone is looking for a hot fling. The more people looking for romance, the less they’re going to be expecting in terms of great dates. Even though the bar is lowered, you should still try to make each dating experience a memorable one.

In an attempt to save you a little cash, here’s some of the cheapest, and best, date ideas for the summer.

1. Head to your local bar. Who needs to go out for expensive wine in a quite, upscale place when you can grab a cheap brew at your local bar where there’s no sound level restrictions on your conversation? Not to mention all the pool and darts your little heart can take.
2. Take your best shot! Who wouldn’t love to blow off a little steam at the local shooting range?! It’s cheap, thrilling, and something they don’t do on a daily basis. I hope.
   
3. Take them to a really, really, really expensive play. But instead of the main thing, get tickets to the dress rehearsal. You get the exact same experience, but for 1/10th of the price!
4. Shop around the flea market. Sure guys don’t like shopping, but flea markets are different! You get to see old cars, great art work, and everything else you don’t see in stores today (a typewritter? What’s a typewritter?!).
5. Take a hint from Charlie. They say that chocolate is an aphrodisiac, so why not go to the root of the food? Taking a tour of a chocolate factory is a great thing for friends dating to do, and you’ll get turned on by the smell alone!
6. Get your Van Gogh on. Going to famous museums can be costly, but independently run galleries are very cheap, and the pieces make for great conversation starters.
7. Take him out to a ball game! Sure things like NBA and MLB games can be costly, but who says you have to go professional? Take a look at your local university’s sports schedule and head off to a game! You’ll probably get a chance to see the next great player in sports.

Dating doesn’t always mean that your wallet has to take a big hit; there’s always great things to do with your partner that come cheap!

In my profession, I work with big corporations to help lead their employees through team building exercises to help them better connect and work as a whole. Ever now and again I’ll see two people work in a way where I can tell they’re romantically involved. Without fail, when I ask these people about their relationship, they’ve either been dating or are husband and wife. How can I tell? Men send off signals towards women they’re interested in that are different from those they send to people they are strictly platonic with, like friends or co-workers.

I see the same signals when a man and woman are friends, but the man is interested in turning it into something more. By familiarizing yourself with these signals, you’ll better be able to detect them when they’re being directed at you.

If he looks at your hands more…
If you notice a male friend looking at your hands, there’s a good chance he has invested feelings that have nothing to do with the word ‘platonic.’ Men have a subconscious yearning for a women with hands that are a good fit for him. What does this mean? Usually men want hands that are slightly smaller than theirs, but not significantly smaller, as they take that as a sign that the relationship will be unbalanced. Nail shape and color is something they look at as well- If he’s a type A personality who needs structure in his life, he’ll look for more traditional nails like a simple french manicure or clean, unpolished nails, while if he’s looking for a passionate sex life, he’ll be more drawn towards red and black nails. Men who aren’t interested in getting involved with friends dating won’t take notice in your digits.

If he touches your hair…
Men have a connection they make between hair and sex. If you’re someone they don’t think about sexually, like a relative or co-worker, they won’t be able to tell if you cut 18 inches off of your hair. If they’re interested in taking you to bed, their mind won’t automatically go to taking off your clothes with his imagination, it goes to your hair. Since it’s the one thing women generally never cover up, it’s easy for men to creatively think about. When thinking about grabbing or stroking it during sex, they usually stare it without knowing. If you catch a male friend commenting on your new ‘do or looking north of eye level, don’t assume you’re having a bad hair day!

If he changes the subject when you’re talking about other guy friends…
Put yourself in his shoes for this one. You’re just friends with a girl who you’re finding yourself becoming more and more attracted to. Wouldn’t you assume that other guys are finding themselves in that position as well? If you’re talking about other male friends, even if they’re mutual friends, and he changes the subject, it’s because he simply doesn’t want to think about you spending your time with other men.

If you watch for these signs, it’ll become blatantly  obvious when he’s looking to make a move. You can do many things to either accept or reject these signals, but that’s a blog for another day.
