We all know that free dating sites are the easiest places to meet guys, but sometimes we all need a challenge.If you’re one of the brave ones who still goes to bars to pick up dates, you have to put some serious consideration into who you’re bringing with you, or you could end up with a date blocker.
A good wingman has to meet three things of crucial criteria, because if they’re missing even one, you could find yourself with a date blocker and not even know it. Next time you venture out to find a date, make sure they have the goods to be a wingman.
Make sure you’re around the same number.
A little superficial, but it’s good advice! If you’re a 6 and you’re going out with a 10, who do you think is going to get most of the attention? And even if you do have someone you can get to hit on you, chances are you’re going to feel self conscious standing next to that 10. If you’re a 6, go find guys with another 6! You won’t look bad by association, and you will feel confident getting attention.
Don’t go out with the center of attention.
I have a friend that reminds me a lot of Kate Hudson, and all of my female friends refuse to go out with her when they’re fishing for guys. Why? Because she needs to be the center of attention at all times. Even if a guy is clearly trying to hit on them, KH has to swoop in and she won’t stop until all eyes are on her. Go out with someone who is okay with passing the spotlight to you to enjoy for a bit.
Find a friend who is willing to help.
The last thing you want is to finally get the hot guy in the bar to start a conversation, only to have your friend complain she’s tired and that she wants to go home. You’re going to have a hard time in the dating world if you don’t get the chance to even step up to bad! Find someone who knows what your end goal is, and who is willing to help you get there.
If you’re going out to find a date, do it with a proper wingman, not a date blocker!
